For our Sept ‘25 Xchange Community Spotlight, we're featuring @Camila Chavarri, Head of Marketing at Newtech, who is based in Argentina.

Although she originally started off in the food and beverage industry, she soon became interested in exploring new professional paths, led by her evolving interest in technology. So, when an opportunity presented itself for her to enter the AV industry through Newtech, she took it.

Switching from marketing mass consumer products to targeting specialized markets was a significant change for her, but she found her new work refreshingly different and incredibly rewarding. It proved to be a turning point for her.

“In the tech sector, it's crucial to understand both user and business needs, and to tailor marketing strategies to highlight the unique advantages of each solution,” she said. “It’s dynamic, constantly changing, and full of challenges. So here I am—it's been five years since I joined this universe, and it never stops surprising me. Innovation and technology, especially nowadays, bring endless possibilities.”

In her home country of Argentina, there’s been consistent growth in corporate demand, especially from sectors like tech. According to Camila, it’s a place full of possibility.

“Despite external political and economic challenges, Argentina has a strong base of highly skilled professionals and world-class companies. These companies are innovating with advanced technologies, which signals a need for internal growth and adaptation in areas such as AV integration, data control, and artificial intelligence. There are many opportunities for development,” she said.

At her job, she leads an incredible team made up of experts in data analysis, social media management, and consumer behavior, all working together to develop and implement marketing strategies.

“My role is highly strategic,” she explained. “Our work needs to respond to the evolving needs of both consumers and the corporate market, not only in Argentina but across the LATAM region, while keeping up with global technological trends.”

One particular trend that she’s noticed in tech is that nothing is really out of place or too “crazy.” She believes that the ability to innovate and embrace failure as part of the process is what truly drives technological and workplace progress.

“It’s all about experimenting, innovating, and yes—failing—in order to reach that ‘wow’ moment. For example, combining gaming with collaborative workspaces can create interactive environments that boost creativity and teamwork. Or using social media challenges in internal corporate communications to drive engagement and participation. This shows us the importance of versatility, adaptability, and cultural openness to find new ways of communicating or standing out in the market,” she stated.

Throughout her career, she’s had many successes. But if she had to choose one truly pivotal moment, both professionally and personally, it would be the day she became a mother. Though at first she wondered how she’d strike a balance between her professional and personal life, motherhood ended up empowering her more than anything else.

“I used to wonder how I would balance my professional ambitions with family life. But today I can say it didn’t just challenge me—it empowered me. I developed new skills that helped me find balance. This was also made possible thanks to the incredible support I received from Newtech.”

As an active Xchange Advocate, she often writes articles on topics relevant to AV marketers in both English and Spanish. She loves what Xchange has achieved—bringing together professionals and AV enthusiasts. Her favorite aspect of the platform is having a dedicate space to share knowledge and different perspectives.

“Being an Advocate is a personal honor,” she expressed. “Not only because of the colleagues involved—highly skilled and well-known professionals—but also because I have a space to share my perspective from a marketing point of view.”
