So where do you start? 

As you navigate Xchange, you’ll find 3 keys features that will help inform, inspire and, ultimately, match you with solution providers.

These include:

• Channels – Key solution areas that tie together posts, articles, videos and more under a specific topic
• Rooms – Micro-communities, group conversations based on topics, events or other commonalities
• AV Provider Directory – Global directory of solution and service providers that allows you to locate those near you who are suitable for your project

 To be alerted to new content, “Watch” the rooms and channels that are of interest and set up your customized Digest. Simply click on your avatar and select “My Digest” from the dropdown. Click “Tailor Your Digest” and choose your preferences.

See a project you’d like to learn more about? You can connect with the individuals and providers who have shared their expertise. (Company and individual names shown on the post are clickable links that will take you straight to the author’s profile) You can “Follow” them so that you’re alerted when they’ve posted something new. As you learn more about them from their profile, note the “Experts Like” section to discover others who you may wish to follow as well.

Tip! Follow the Media to curate some great content right to your inbox! From the AV Provider Directory, select Media under Company Type. Visit each and “Follow”!

Not finding what you’re looking for? Pose your question in the community Q&A or in any of the rooms that address your topic or market best.

Making the most of a trade show

Do you attend ISE or InfoComm? Join a conversation in a room dedicated to the show and you’ll be connected to the exhibitors, instructors, presenters, and attendees. Get the inside scope on everything happening on and off the show floor!

Ask for recommendations on not-to-be-missed demos and displays, ask for suggestions of booths to visit based on your challenging project, get tips on best restaurants and more. Do you have a question about the show and can’t find the answer on the website? Ask it!

These connections don’t stop when the show’s over either. Check back with the room after the show to stay engaged, uncover what you may have missed and book a follow-up.

Additional Resources

Aside from your project needs, explore the social and business aspects offered. For example, explore the Jobs Room and find valuable content such as recruiting strategies and interviewing skills.
