The Okinawa Churashima Foundation: Preserving Culture and EnvironmentBefore we dive into the ASKA3D experience, let's briefly introduce the Okinawa Churashima Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to research on subtropical flora and fauna, marine culture, and the preservation of Okinawa's rich heritage, including Shurijo Castle. Their mission is to contribute to the development of citizens and the preservation of the environment, making a positive impact on the local community. |
The ASKA3D Experience: "Like Being in a Movie"Ms. Hakuni shared her initial experience with ASKA3D's holographic display, expressing how it felt like being in a movie. The excitement of trying out this innovative technology, floating images in the air, resonated with the foundation's concept of "experiencing history and culture through hands-on experiences." The non-contact feature of ASKA3D added an extra layer of convenience and safety, meeting the demands of the current times. |

The ASKA3D holographic display is strategically located in the guidance hall of Shurimokan, attracting visitors near the park's entrance. It is linked to the Shuri Townscape Model and a large monitor on the wall, offering an engaging visual experience that complements the historical context. Visitors can explore the history of Shurijo Castle, its past appearance, and surrounding historical sites through a unique and unforgettable encounter.
The Shurimokan serves not only as a guided tour point but also as an educational space, especially during adverse weather conditions or for international visitors. ASKA3D becomes a bridge between traditional museum exhibits and cutting-edge technology, catering to a diverse audience.
