Digital signage comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. With this variety comes an infinite amount of uses. People use digital signage to create stories, place key information, recognize donors, and generate unique experiences. Some go big, while others are more subtle, attempting to integrate with their surroundings.

Many often think of how digital signage can be used to inform and promote. But when you combine creativity, architecture, and AV technology, digital signage can also become art. This can be seen at Diagonal 123.

The digital signage at Diagonal 123, also known as Go123, was inspired by the building's architecture and décor. It’s a great example of what can become possible when creativity meets design. In this latest “How'd They Do That?” video, which is also available in Spanish, AVIXA took a closer look.

The iconic space is designed to adapt your company to innovation, culture, and even to the natural surroundings. It’s an ideal area to attract and retain talent, commit to the well-being of workers, and adapt company values to a new era.

In Barcelona's world-renowned Innovation District, Diagonal 123 stands out in the city skyline with a massive cantilever high above its entrance. The building was designed by the French architect Dominique Perrault. Its unique design also inspired the Cushman & Wakefield and @LEDDREAM Group teams when working on the design of the main lobby's digital signage. Carlos Delgato of LEDDREAM Group and Priscilla Camassa of Cushman & Wakefield get down to the details in the “How'd They Do That?” video.

“[When the design team began to make plans for the main lobby], the landlord asked us for something very outstanding, like uncommon, so we started from the building identity, and we designed this L-shaped screen to imitate the L-shape of the entrance,” said Architect and Interior Designer Camassa.

The goal was to immerse visitors through impactful content that generates a sense of well-being and comfort. Now, the building is known not only for its modern and unique architecture but also for integrating digital signage into its identity to enhance the user experience.

As you enter the main lobby, a unique experience awaits. The atmosphere in the building's reception is created with digital signage, specifically a huge 50m2 L-shaped LED screen. Colorful scenes from nature and urban landscapes from Barcelona allow the displays to shine, as seen in the video. It's also customizable, with templates simple enough for anyone to use.

“You can spend a lot of money on your screen, but if you don't spend money on the content, it won't be a success,” advised COO Engineer of LEDDREAM Group Delgado.

Diagonal 123 offers a space that contributes to the maximum well-being of its users while respecting the environment. It is an exquisite example of what happens when creative minds and AV technology come together.
