Common Terms

- Languages: English — required (for participation in meetings); Spanish — required (primary audience); Portuguese — highly desirable (Brazil-focused support).
- Preferred background: Experience in audiovisual industry or technology firms in Latin America is strongly preferred. Experience in multinational / matrix organizations is desirable but not mandatory.
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in social media, community management, or digital engagement roles.
- Proven experience in social media content planning, production, and publishing across multiple platforms.
- Strong background in community engagement and relationship management, including direct interaction with audiences.
- Hands-on experience with social media management tools, chat platforms, and community tooling.
- Solid understanding of performance tracking, analytics, and reporting for social and digital campaigns.
- Experience supporting or executing paid media campaigns (campaign setup, optimization, or performance monitoring).
Preferred qualifications
- Background in the audiovisual, tradeshows, or technology industries in LATAM.
- Experience building and managing WhatsApp engagement flows or similar automation tools.
- Familiarity with lead generation, audience nurturing, and conversion tracking through paid and organic media.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, events, education).
Community Growth Ambassador
The Community Growth is responsible for expanding, nurturing, and activating AVIXA and InfoComm America Latina audiences across Latin America. This role combines hands-on social media management, paid/earned media coordination, influencer partnerships, and conversational engagement to drive brand reach, community participation, and event conversion.
This contractor will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, LATAM, and will work in close collaboration with the programmatic media agency based in the U.S. Will also work with the internal graphic designer and video editor to ensure campaigns are aligned, consistent, and performance-driven across channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media initiatives
- Manage content planning, publishing, and engagement across 8+ social media platforms for AVIXA Spanish, AVIXA Portuguese and InfoComm America Latina tradeshow (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, AVIXA Xchange).
- Conduct social listening to identify industry trends, emerging conversations, and opportunities for proactive engagement.
- Ensure brand voice consistency and message alignment with editorial and
campaign calendars.
2. Community Activation & Conversational Engagement
- Lead WhatsApp community engagement across 4+ groups, ensuring daily interaction, moderation, and conversation flow.
- Design and execute conversational campaigns and CTA-to-conversion workflows in WhatsApp and social messaging together with the external tech partner.
- Foster healthy, inclusive, and value-based exchanges among audiovisual professionals.
3. Earned, Owned & Paid Media Support
- Support planning and execution of paid media (PPC) campaigns, serving as primary liaison with the external media buying agencies for AVIXA and for InfoComm America Latina paid campaigns, both based in the U.S.
- Monitor campaign pacing, targeting relevance, creative performance, and ROI indicators.
4. Influencer, KOL & Creator Relations
- Identify and recruit industry influencers, thought leaders, guild representatives, and content creators relevant to the AV Pro ecosystem.
- Coordinate deliverables, messaging alignment, and partnership fulfillment for both organic and sponsored creator activity.
KPIs
- Social posts Calendar Management: Create and maintain an up-to-date social media calendar with ≥ 95% on-time publishing and report overall performance in a monthly basis.
- Increase InfoComm America Latina & AVIXA Spanish and Portuguese social audiences by 15–25% and +30% engagement rate YoY.
- Maintain ≥ 5 WhatsApp active groups, with weekly participation from ≥ 15% of members and monthly growth of new qualified participants.
- Support WhatsApp conversational strategies to drive a 10%+ increase in event registrations for InfoComm América Latina and AVIXA events.
- Secure 8–12 creator or KOL collaborations per year, ensuring alignment with brand messaging.
- Support PR and editorial team by helping expand share of voice across LatAm social channels.
- Conversion to InfoComm America Latina registration from community aim +20%.
- Conversion to Congreso AVIXA Virtual registration from paid ads aim +30%.
Weekly Reporting Expectations
During weekly alignment meetings, present:
1. Channel performance highlights and insights (top conversation themes and recommended content/actions, engagement, reach, audience growth, comments/sentiment).
2. WhatsApp community pulse: key discussions, participation level, notable questions or feedback.
3. Paid campaign status, pacing, optimization recommendations (from agency or direct).
4. New members and retention stats for the week.
5. Influencer/ KOL outreach pipeline: contacts initiated, conversations, confirmations, deliverables in motion.
6. Content calendar alignment: upcoming posts, dependencies, and approval needs.
7. Risks or opportunities: including trends, competitor signals, or emerging influencer momentum.
