Like

This year at InfoComm23, AVIXA is proud to present the AVIXA Career Empowerment Event on June 15 from 2:00-4:00 pm ET.  This event is for professionals looking to start or grow a rewarding career in the AV industry. AV professionals and hiring managers will all be offering expert insights that you can use now and into the future.

In support of our event over the next few weeks I'll post tips directly from our panelists and provide resources that can help you turn into action.

Career Empowerment Panelist Tip #1- Build or Learn New Skills

Suggested Resources:

  1. Explore AV Training Paths

Figure out where to begin your training with our dedicated training tracks or start in our General Knowledge track if you are new to the industry.

  1. Explore AV Topics | AVIXA

Stay up to date with AV Industry news and get detailed analysis of the topics that drive your career with insights from AVIXA.

3. Build transferrable skills from other major trade organizations:

BISCI- is a professional association supporting the advancement of the information and communications technology (ICT) profession and currently serves more than 26,000 members and credential holders.

CEDIA- the global industry association and central touch point for smart home technology, provides members with cutting-edge education, develops standards to ensure the highest levels of professionalism, and is the industry's only certifying body.

NSCA- The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) is the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial integration industry.

USITT- The United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Inc. (USITT) connects performing arts design and technology communities to ensure a vibrant dialog among practitioners, educators, and students.

I'll be back next week with Career Empowerment Panelist Tip #2!
