Muggles are more than welcome at Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which is now open through February 28 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is a groundbreaking touring exhibition that celebrates everything Harry Potter. This interactive exhibition delights visitors through compelling storytelling using best-in-class immersive design and technology.

The exhibition includes more than 20 rooms to immerse guests from beginning to end. See moments, characters, and locations from the beloved Wizarding World. There’s even an on-site cafe with a themed food and cocktail menu. Visitors are encouraged to dress up and bring their wands. It’s self-guided, and guests typically spend about 60-90 minutes exploring the exhibition, which has traces of sound bites from the films, motion-triggered sound and video, and other media moments throughout the tour.

Run by Atlanta-based Imagine Exhibitions, the event has taken over more than 38,000 square feet of the 200 Peachtree building in downtown Atlanta.

Imagine Exhibitions is currently producing over 40 unique exhibitions globally. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and with offices in Las Vegas, Chicago, Cleveland, and France, they embrace a diversity of backgrounds to generate fresh ideas. In addition to developing successful traveling exhibitions, they also design and operate permanent installations and venues. They bring a sharp focus to every project, shaping the inspiration, presentation, and operation into a plan that produces quantifiable results.

With decades of experience in the museum and entertainment industries, Imagine Exhibitions constantly develops exhibitions that educate and excite while exceeding attendance goals. And this new exhibition is no different. It has already drawn in fans from all 50 states plus 44 countries across six continents.

The intricate exhibit took 30 tractor-trailers and a month to bring to life in Atlanta. The production contains 40 state-of-the-art projectors and RFID wristband technology. Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology includes a tiny chip that holds unique information about an attendee, often placed inside a wearable such as a wristband. RFID wristband technology has become a popular tool for various attractions, museums, exhibitions, festivals, and more.

Imagine Exhibitions has spent time thoughtfully planning out the flow of the entire exhibition to take guests on a journey.

“The story always comes first. No matter what you’re building, it all starts with the story. Hundreds of people, incredibly talented teams, working together to realize a vision that starts with that story,” said Imagine Exhibitions president and CEO Tom Zaller in this previous article. “Then we go to a conceptual design. From there, we get into more and more detail, and we select the objects and experiential moments that are going to help tell the story in the best way possible while remaining within our budget and timeline.”

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is also available in Vienna, Austria, and will be available in Paris, France starting April 21.

We solemnly swear you will want to take advantage of this limited-time adventure! Are there any other events that have caught your eye with their production recently? Let us know below.
