Alan C. Brawn - CTS, DSCE, DSDE, DSNE, DCME, DSSP, ISF, ISF-C Alan Brawn is a principal of Brawn Consulting, an audio visual and digital signage consulting, training, educational development, and market intelligence company with national exposure to major manufacturers, integrators, and associations in the industry. Alan is an industry veteran with experience spanning 4 decades and a recognized author for leading industry publications. Alan is an Imaging Science Foundation fellow and co-founder of ISF Commercial. He holds CTS certification and is an educational contributor to AVIXA. He was the moderator of the ANSI Projected Image System Contrast Ratio (PISCR) standard. Brawn was awarded the AVIXA Volunteer of the Year Award in 2011, and he is one of the founders and the past Chairman of the Digital Signage Federation. He is a DSF Legacy recipient and the Digital Signage Federation educator of the year award is named after him. Alan C. Brawn received the Fred Dixon Lifetime Achievement in AV Education from AVIXA in 2015.

I entered the AV industry in 2001 after a 20 year career in the software industry while based in Chicago, writing software tools for companies like Microsoft, Google and Oracle and executing more than a dozen M&A transactions building a network of software developers creating linguistic and search and retrieval tools.    In 2001, I started with AMX and "learned the ropes" in the AV industry meeting many integrators, manufacturers, consultants and end users, who collectively induced my passion for this industry.   In 2010, I joined RGB Spectrum in Alameda, CA, and currently serve as the Chief Operating Officer overseeing all sales, marketing, development, operations, and IT functions of the company. In my spare time, I am raising a pre-teen son and his two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, volunteer at AVIXA and do a fair amount of creation in the kitchen, most recently with a focus on southeast Asian cuisines and fermentation. 

Philip DiPaula brings a vast range of audio and video system expertise and commitment to supporting customers throughout the country that require creative technical solutions, extensive project experience, and long-term support capabilities. DiPaula, an honors graduate in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, began his career with Maryland Sound Industries (MSI), specializing in live sound production. During his seven-year tenure at MSI, DiPaula was instrumental in developing MSI’s permanent systems division and working as a systems engineer with project management responsibilities on large international themed entertainment projects. As a founding member and partner of SPL Integrated Solutions, he dedicated twenty-three years as a project engineer and asset to the sales management team.  Working out of SPL’s Orlando location, he developed and led his team working on themed entertainment and large-scale audiovisual systems. For six years at Electrosonic, he served on the sales team to continue the development of immersive experiences.  As Director of Immersive Systems with Clair Global Integration, DiPaula aims to further his sales and business development focus to enhance the museum and immersive entertainment experiences.
