For our November ‘25 Xchange Community Spotlight, we’re featuring @Sara Quarantelli, who resides in Sweden and works as a Global End Customer Marketing Manager at Axis Communications. Through Axis, she has been able to deepen her interest and gain a better understanding of various AV technologies.

“Since Axis offers IP-based speakers, as well as device and audio manager software, I started to become even more interested in the world of AV and in seeing how the companies' products fit into this market,” she said.

Her global position requires her to navigate diverse markets, cultural nuances, and rapidly evolving customer expectations. For her, success means building bridges between global strategy and local execution, ensuring that every message resonates authentically while serving a unified vision.

“I also follow market trends to identify potential new markets,” she added.

In fact, keeping up with evolving trends is imperative to her role. Lately, she’s been focusing on promoting IoT solutions and the advantages of IP-based devices.

“Using IoT solutions means that a customer can think scalability and flexibility when they want to improve or expand their system. The most important thing to know is that having a device that is able to integrate or connect to other devices or systems offers a high level of operability, and the investment cost could be shared among different departments, since these IoT devices can play different roles depending on for example, if they are being used for security, or for operational efficiency. These are multipurpose IoT devices that are designed for multiple jobs or tasks,” she explained.

Sara, who has lived in Sweden for 25 years now, says that the AV industry in Sweden is flourishing.

“In Sweden, there are many companies working to develop AV solutions, focusing on innovative AV technology. For example, QSC, Biamp, Nexus, and Net Insight,” she said.

On Xchange, she often writes articles on AV solutions for education and healthcare segments. Her most recent articles dive into topics like how audio detection can complement video surveillance and AI’s role in driving proactive security in schools. She shared that her favorite aspect of Xchange is being part of a group that offers different perspectives. She stated that, “being able to share experiences and competences,” with other professionals in the AV industry on the platform is the biggest highlight for her.
