Is it required to hold the CST certificate before getting the CST-I certificate. Even though I have 7 years experience with commercial AV installations.

Hi Todd. Yes, holding a valid CTS is a requirement for taking the CTS-I exam, regardless of your level of experience. It is good that you do have the experience, though, as a minimum of two years of experience in the qualified field is also required to take the CTS-I exam.
