The ProDVX S-Series: Designed to reduce environmental impact 

Sustainability is a key priority in our current society. At ProDVX, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. We sought to make our brand-new S-series even more sustainable than the previous series of Android Panel PCs. From the initial design phase to the product retirement, we strive to minimise the ecological footprint of these new 10-inch Android Panel PCs. Read on to learn what we did.

Fiber-only packaging

We completely re-designed the product packaging: it’s now fully recyclable and waste-reducing. By replacing traditional materials with responsibly sourced cardboard and paper fibers, we significantly reduce the environmental footprint. Foam inserts, plastic wraps, and other non-recyclable materials have been completely removed. The packaging is now fully biodegradable and recyclable.

Lowering the carbon footprint further

The APPC-10S Series has achieved a 24% reduction in device volume. By optimising packaging and removing space for the power supply (thanks to its PoE+ feature), we have created a more compact design. This allows us to ship twice as many units within the same volume as other products, cutting emissions significantly. As a result, we reduce CO2 emissions by 40% in transport and storage.

Our efforts comply with the strictest EU regulations, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly production.

Easy connectivity with PoE+

Besides, our Android Panel PC S-Series is Powered over Ethernet Plus (PoE+). It uses a single Ethernet cable for both power and internet connection. This also reduces energy consumption by self-regulating, thereby saving energy and reducing electricity costs.

Thus, by optimising energy use, PoE+ helps lower environmental impact and makes our device more sustainable.

Motion radar sensor

The motion radar sensor on the APPC-10SFA is another innovative product feature that can be used for sustainability purposes. For example, when it detects 30 minutes of inactivity, the APPC-10SFA can be programmed to automatically switch the screen to sleep mode and wakes it back up upon detecting movement, helping to conserve energy and cut costs.
