AVIXA Standards and the Standards Steering Committee are assembling a volunteer task group to revise AVIXA TR-111:2019 Unified Automation for Buildings, ensuring it reflects today’s best practices and tomorrow’s challenges.

About the Standard: 
This technical report provides an introductory overview of existing building automation systems, what they do, how they are used, and how professional AV fits within this ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:
Discuss and draft changes to the current standard
Share insights from your professional experience
Collaborate with peers in virtual meetings
Address questions and feedback through technical and public review

Time Commitment:
Approximately 2+ hours per month (meetings + review work)
Project expected to run for 12 months
All work is done remotely
