A University of Central Florida double-alum with a Master’s in Digital Media, Iulia Popescu is a content creator who loves bringing people together over shared interests.  As AVIXA's Coordinator of Digital Content, she produces articles on a myriad of technology topics. She has been working on virtual reality projects lately, transforming folk tales into VR narratives. 

• Helping clients to understand and select appropriate audio visual solutions since 2001 - working for both specialist audio visual system integrators and also one of the largest independent IT services organisations in Europe.
• I believe that well delivered technology solutions have a huge part to play in delivering true collaboration. Today's technology solutions genuinely have the potential to fundamentally change the way that we think about work.
• CTS certified member of AVIXA carrying a number of accreditations that relate to audio visual best practice and the specification of audio visual technologies, control systems and videoconferencing.
• On a day-to-day basis my role is to work directly with clients and help them to find the right solutions to make faster, more efficient business decisions and reduce the costs associated with unnecessary travel.
• I'm offended by bad meeting room design and "false economy" design choices that do nothing but cause issues for end users and undermine key investments.

As Content Manager, I develop both in-person and digital programs for AVIXA. I'm always looking for new content ideas that highlight topics and trends of importance to the AV industry, particularly in the areas of Content Production and Streaming, Learning and Live Events. I'm very involved in the AV/IT convergence, specialised in digital video and in IT networks. Since 2010 member of the CTS technical committee and also lecturer in private and governmental universities of applied science in Germany.

I’m a has-been geek turned manager, turned executive, turned (hopefully) into leader.  I love technology and even more I love people.  So what I find really interesting is the intersection of people and technology…and in so many ways, that’s my definition of AV.
