About Me I am a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) with a background in Mobile and Satellite Communication Engineering from the International University of East Africa (IUEA). My passion for technology and curiosity led me to the audiovisual industry during the COVID-19 lockdown. Since then, I’ve supported and led AV projects across Uganda, including digital signage, video conferencing, e-learning studios, and public address systems. I’m dedicated to raising awareness of AV technology in East Africa and hold a Google Digital Marketing certification to enhance the promotion of AV solutions in the region through media. Skills and Expertise Design and Proposal Writing: Crafting comprehensive and tailored AV solutions for clients. Project Experience: Expertise in designing AV systems for stadiums, learning environments, boardrooms, and digital signage. As AVIXA's manager of editorial content, I bring to the role fifteen years of marketing experience and ten working predominantly in editorial and video content. I've spent many years in the entertainment industry working for Nickelodeon, Lucasfilm, Disney, and even a small theater in the heart of Florence, Italy. I love great stories and finding the right way to tell them. I am also a stop-motion animation aficionado who makes puppets and writes books. After serving as a Communication Consultant for the United Nations (UNDP), Matt would go on to complete a Master’s in Communication at Purdue University. In this current chapter, Matt leverages his passions for media and technology to serve ISDA as a thought leader in the public sector. He is also an AVIXA XChange Advocate, contributing to content that cultivates conversation in the pro AV community.

A University of Central Florida double-alum with a Master’s in Digital Media, I'm a content creator who loves bringing people together over shared interests. As AVIXA's Coordinator of Digital Content, I produce articles on a myriad of technology topics. I've also worked on virtual reality projects, transforming Romanian folk tales into VR narratives. 

I lead AVIXA’s APAC marketing and communications initiatives, which include member communication, vertical market events, educational programmes and AVIXA’s brand presence at the association’s trade shows in the region.
