I manage an association comprised of digital kiosks manufacturers, digital signage software and hardware, digital credentialing and more. Members include LG, Intel, Panasonic, Samsung, Peerless-AV, Nanonation, Olea Kiosks, Kiosk Information Systems, 22 Miles and many more.  We cover multiple industry segments including kiosks, digital signage, menu boards, thin client, automated retail, EMV Point-Of-Sale, EV Charging and more. In my role as Executive Director for the Kiosk Association, I work with the U.S. Access Board (we meet once a year in DC), Canada ADA agencies and the PCI SSC regulatory organization. My customers over the years which I was primary dev support for include Verizon Wireless and their bill pay kiosks (around 5000), AT&T bill pay systems and Comcast self-pay stations. A University of Central Florida double-alum with a Master’s in Digital Media, Iulia Popescu is a content creator who loves bringing people together over shared interests.  As AVIXA's Coordinator of Digital Content, she produces articles on a myriad of technology topics. She has been working on virtual reality projects lately, transforming folk tales into VR narratives. 

Presently as Regional Director, AVIXA for India and GCC, I do aspire to support the AV and IT industry with  access to the resources that are most beneficial to the businesses and professional outcomes. My focus will be to bring to the AV/IT community in the region, knowledge and skill development through AVIXA Education, Certification and Training Resources. I look forward to work closely with allied associations, industry groups and professional society in the region with a similar focus. And my areas of interest and learning are indeed the Emerging Technologies (what we know as AI, Metaverse, Cloud, Industry 4.0, and the likes) and how they impact what we do in our professional and personal lives as Humans! A higher education technology leader well versed in AV, broadcasting, live and recorded video production, and teaching. Experienced in the study of virtual environments, video games, and accessibility. Don is the current President of the Educational Technology Collaborative (ETC, etcollaborative.org), The mission of ETC is to provide leadership and a forum for information exchange to the providers of media content, academic technology, and support for quality teaching and learning at institutions of higher education. Don is also the Director of UCF’s nationally recognized Office of Instructional Resources, which is responsible for AV design, consultation, integration and engineering, project management, end-user support and training, and planning for the university.

Works for Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Westminster, London in the Studio Visual and Event IT department.

He has over a decade of award winning experience in media publishing for large scale events, OTT & live streaming platforms, marketing, network television, and podcasting. Ben decided on his career path at the age of 7, and to date has led some of the most influential brands in the world including Intel, Nokia, Samsung and Segway, to billions of content interactions. A huge hockey fan (Go Stars!), and former contestant and current fan of Family Feud, Thomas resides in Dallas, Texas.
