Hi Xchange Members!

You may have noticed a few changes coming through onto the site over the last few months; as we work to improve the Xchange experience, some things have been added, removed, or moved around, but we believe the changes made thus far have been really beneficial for how you, the Xchange community, use the site! Let's go over a few!

Improved Email Digests

One of the biggest key improvements you'll be seeing is for your Xchange Digests! While Digests have been a great way to keep people apprised of the latest and greatest AV has to offer, we've gotten some feedback on how to improve how we show you content. These improvements include:

• No More Duplicate Content – If the same content is published in multiple locations (e.g., channels and rooms), it will now only appear once.
• Refreshed Layout – The Digests (web) page has been redesigned for a more modern and user-friendly experience.
• Optimized Content Order – Posts are now displayed in chronological order, with the most recent content appearing at the top.
• Better Email Delivery – The Digests email will now include up to five items, optimized to prevent email providers from trimming content when the length of the email gets too long.

Enhanced Rooms

Rooms have gone through a visual and organizational redesign! Each Room is divided into three categories now:

• Activity - Shows everything posted to the Room, organized in a chronological manner, making it easy to see what's been shared most recently.
• Content - All the content shared into a Room, broken out by the type of content being shared (Posts, Videos, and Documents, respectively). This category also features a search bar, allowing members to search through a Room's content easily.
• Discussions - Same as before, Discussions are now more prominently displayed as their own tab next to the aforementioned categories.

Organized Content Drafting and Management

Xchange has also implemented more organization to the Post Authoring tools! Similar to the Rooms improvements, content is segmented by content type, can be searched through with a newly-added search bar, and a clearer indication of the current status of content (Draft, Published, etc.).

Events Page

A major addition to Xchange is our Events feature! The Events feature is a great way to keep track of major events AVIXA is organizing, where you can RSVP, learn more about the event's information, and more.

The Events feature is a work in progress, but we're hoping to give users the ability to create their own community events soon!

New Homepage Widgets

On top of the new Events feature being included on the homepage, we also have a series of new additions to the homepage!
