AVIXA Xchange Is Evolving. Here's What You Need to Know.
The AVIXA Xchange community is moving to a new home. Starting this fall, community conversations will shift to the AVIXA Xchange LinkedIn Group—a space where AV professionals can continue connecting, sharing knowledge, and engaging with AVIXA's broader community.
Why Are We Making This Change?
The decision to move Xchange away from its current platform reflects what AVIXA has been hearing from the AV community: participating in professional discussions shouldn't require managing yet another standalone destination.
LinkedIn is already where many AV professionals build relationships and stay current with the industry. By moving the Xchange community there, AVIXA is meeting members where they already are.
What Will Stay the Same
The spirit of Xchange is not changing. The AVIXA Xchange LinkedIn Group will continue to be a place for:
- Professional discussions among AV peers
- Questions and answers across industry topics
- Knowledge sharing and expert perspectives
- Industry insights and trend conversations
- Direct engagement with AVIXA programs, events, and resources
Membership in the LinkedIn Group is free, and anyone with a LinkedIn account can request to join. We currently have 25,000+ members and continue to grow each day!
What Is Changing—And What to Expect
As Xchange transitions into a new destination for AVIXA's digital community, a few features of the current platform will work differently.
- Content contributions will move to a structured submission and editorial review process. Community members will still be able to share ideas and full posts, but content will go through an appropriate review before publication. You can start submitting your content here.
- Open commenting will no longer be enabled by default across all articles. General discussion will be encouraged through the LinkedIn Group, where moderation is better supported and audiences are already active.
- Select articles from the current Xchange platform will be migrated to AVIXA.org's Digital Community page. Content that is more than two years old or no longer relevant to the community will be sunset.
Important Note: Save Your Content Before September 30, 2026
If you have discussions, posts, or other contributions on the current Xchange platform that you'd like to keep, save a personal copy of them before September 30, 2026. After the transition, previously published community content will no longer be accessible through this platform. This includes any content saved as a draft, so be sure to save anything you want to keep for personal reference.

The Community Continues
The connections, conversations, and knowledge sharing that have defined this community will continue in the AVIXA Xchange LinkedIn Group, now better positioned to grow alongside the professionals who make up the AV industry. Whether you've been an active contributor or occasional visitor, there's a place for you in what comes next.
