Float4, a Montreal-based experiential design studio, has just unveiled its latest masterpiece, "Opulence," at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. This immersive artwork transforms the hotel's lobby with mesmerizing underwater synchronized swimmers and dancers across eight 5-meter-tall LCD columns, boasting over 265 million pixels.
Teaming up with Aquamedias, renowned for their underwater live-action projects, Float4 captured a diverse array of performers, from synchronized swimmers to dancers, to create captivating visuals. Opulence extends beyond the lobby, with a 23-meter-wide band of tiled displays at the check-in counter and even illuminates the hotel's skyline beacon.
For Alexandre Simionescu, the visionary founder of Float4, the creation of content for such a monumental space posed both technical and creative challenges. With over 350 high-resolution displays scattered across the eight columns, the studio's team had to seamlessly adapt their production processes to the intricacies of a three-dimensional environment. Yet, it was this very challenge that fueled their creativity, inspiring them to craft an experience that transcends mere visual stimulation and immerses guests in a symphony of sight and sound.
Opulence transcends traditional installations, offering a symphony of light and movement that captivates visitors and blurs the lines between reality and imagination. In this realm, every pixel tells a story, inviting guests to embark on a journey of possibility and wonder.
