With over 15 years of extensive experience in the audiovisual industry and a solid foundation in project management as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, coupled with CTS-D and CTS-I certifications from Avixa, I offer a unique blend of technical expertise and project leadership. My career has been marked by the successful delivery of diverse audiovisual projects across sectors like corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality, sports venues, and government. Proficient in AV technology including Crestron, Extron, and Biamp, I excel in AV system design, installation, equipment specification, and vendor management. I'm a seasoned user of project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet, and my excellent interpersonal skills enable strong collaboration with teams and clients. Committed to continuous learning, I stay current with industry trends and actively mentor junior AV professionals, embodying a passion for exceeding customer expectations.

Presently as Regional Director, AVIXA for India and GCC, I do aspire to support the AV and IT industry with  access to the resources that are most beneficial to the businesses and professional outcomes. My focus will be to bring to the AV/IT community in the region, knowledge and skill development through AVIXA Education, Certification and Training Resources. I look forward to work closely with allied associations, industry groups and professional society in the region with a similar focus. And my areas of interest and learning are indeed the Emerging Technologies (what we know as AI, Metaverse, Cloud, Industry 4.0, and the likes) and how they impact what we do in our professional and personal lives as Humans! As a broadcast professional and multiplatform strategist with a passion for writing, I bring a unique perspective to content creation. Throughout my broadcasting career, which began in 2005, I have honed my skills in video production, system integration, and live event management. I have also managed interns and performed field marketing projects while maintaining a self-driven commitment to ongoing learning and growth.

In addition to my technical expertise, I am also an avid reader and enjoy exploring new avenues for personal and professional development. My work in the digital media and web development sector has given me a fresh perspective on the power of content to connect with audiences and create meaningful change.

A University of Central Florida double-alum with a Master’s in Digital Media, Iulia Popescu is a content creator who loves bringing people together over shared interests.  As AVIXA's Coordinator of Digital Content, she produces articles on a myriad of technology topics. She has been working on virtual reality projects lately, transforming folk tales into VR narratives. 

I’m a has-been geek turned manager, turned executive, turned (hopefully) into leader.  I love technology and even more I love people.  So what I find really interesting is the intersection of people and technology…and in so many ways, that’s my definition of AV.

At SpinetiX, I drive multichannel comms campaigns and oversee digital marketing, from website management to social media moderation. I collaborate in cross-functional initiatives together with the product, support, and development teams to create product documentation. My role also involves directing our digital signage academy with AVIXA-approved courses and developing engaging brand-aligned content, as well as coordinating with internal and external partners to fulfill our marketing strategies.

All this, while thriving in a multicultural setting of teammates from across the globe.
