At this year’s ISE, there was one product on the LANG booth that we had deliberately kept under wraps. While we were keen to announce our setups beforehand and invite visitors to experience AURA and LIAM in person, we also wanted to create a moment of genuine surprise.

That moment arrived at booth 3H500, where WINGSTER made its quiet, but strong debut. On first glance, it is arguably not the first screen of its kind within the LANG portfolio: with our single units, we have long combined LED and display technology into practical, impressive plug-and-play solutions. However, WINGSTER introduces a new level of performance.

It is our first single unit to feature 4K resolution. It is also the first LED screen in our portfolio to utilise MicroLED-in-Package technology. This enables WINGSTER to achieve a pixel pitch of 0.78 mm with a brightness of 1,000 nits. Flip Chip and Common Cathode technology are also integrated: Flip Chip enhances the, while Common Cathode supports high energy efficiency.

So far, so brilliant. The image is razor-sharp, colours are vivid and contrasts are deep. Yet beyond the specifications, the product itself reveals a significant innovation – one previously seen in a similar form only with our flexible LED poster, FOLDSTER.

It may not fly – but it travels better

The virtually seamless image can be folded vertically on the left and right – and it immediately becomes clear where WINGSTER gets its name. This folding mechanism opens up new logistical possibilities: a screen surface measuring over three metres in width can, within moments, be transformed into a more compact product measuring 1.80 m, whose reduced width makes it significantly easier to transport. A locking mechanism also ensures that the wings remain securely closed during transport.

In addition, WINGSTER includes all the components expected from a complete LED solution. Content input and control are available via HDMI 2.0, smartphone or remote control. The Single Unit operates with the latest NovaStar processing technology. The screen is also mounted on an electronically powered lifter, allowing the height to be adjusted automatically.

When you think of plug-and-play, all-in-one design and foldability, WINGSTER quickly comes to mind. Our latest LED screen demonstrates that it is possible to deliver impressive scale while remaining compact at the right moment — a concept that truly gives ideas wings.
