Must-See AV: Bangkok
Bangkok is a trove of cultural experiences, and while the city is often celebrated for its temples, cuisine, and nightlife, it also impresses visitors with immersive AV you won’t want to miss. If you're traveling to Bangkok for InfoComm Asia this week, you might want to check out these AV feats in your downtime!
Here are five must-see AV attractions in Bangkok that blend innovation and entertainment.
1. Rajadamnern Stadium
For martial arts enthusiasts and newcomers alike, Rajadamnern Stadium is a standout experience. Established in 1945, it’s the oldest Muay Thai stadium in the world, but that’s not the only amazing thing about this venue. Recently upgraded with state-of-the-art AV technology, the stadium now offers a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.
At the heart of the revamp is a top-tier KV2 audio system paired with a 360-degree projection dome. This setup turns the arena into a true multisensory spectacle. Think of it as a planetarium, but instead of stars, you’re surrounded by fighting visuals.
With matches scheduled nightly, securing tickets is fairly easy, thanks to the stadium’s 4,000-seat capacity. For an elevated experience, attend on a Saturday for the World Series matches, where the AV system’s surround sound and dynamic lighting effects are ramped up for maximum immersion. You’ll feel the energy of each blow as if you’re right there in the ring.
2. Mahanakhon SkyVerse
Located in the iconic King Power Mahanakhon building, the Mahanakhon SkyVerse features a unique combination of technology and nature. Known as Bangkok’s “Art Zoo,” this digital art experience highlights biodiversity through technology, offering nine sensory zones that mesmerize visitors with projection mapping, laser art, and soundscapes.
The must-see at Mahanakhon is of course animated Moo Deng, everyone’s favorite pygmy hippopotamus from Khao Kheow Open Zoo. If you can’t make it to see the real Moo Deng, you can catch him in his very similar digital form, prancing proudly with his mouth agape. There are countless other animals featured as well, like elephants, capybaras, red pandas, and peacocks — just to name a few.
The Mahanakhon SkyVerse takes the concept of a wildlife exhibit to remarkable new heights, blending natural beauty with futuristic design.
3. ICONSIAM’s River Park & Multimedia Fountain Show
ICONSIAM may seem like just another shopping mall on the surface, but the multimedia fountain show really sets this place apart. At its River Park, along the iconic Chao Phraya River, visitors can witness a multimedia fountain show that puts a creative twist on traditional water displays.
Stretching over 400 meters long, the fountain is a masterpiece created in partnership with Ghesa Water & Art, a globally renowned firm responsible for over 3,000 fountain designs. Using compressed air jets, the show projects intricate 2D, 3D, and even 4D water formations into the air. Jets soar to heights of up to 35 meters, creating shapes like flowers and stars with incredible precision—all synchronized with dazzling lights and music.
Free to the public, the fountain show offers a stunning display of AV expertise, making it a perfect activity for anyone strolling through the area.

4. Space & Time Cube
Take your travels to the B floor of Seacon Bangkae Mall for Space & Time Cube, an immersive art and tech museum that perfectly blends digital storytelling and interactive exhibits. If you’re here for the projection mapping, you will not be disappointed. 720° interactive projections bathe the entire room in visuals, so there’s no bad view anywhere you stand. The motion-reactive exhibits are particularly fun for kids (and kids at heart) plus the mirror-lined rooms are reminiscent of a carnival fun house, so the nostalgia factor is high here.
In a nutshell, Space & Time Cube is an imaginative playground where dreamlike art comes to life and there’s no wrong way to experience it. Just take a seat or lay back and enjoy being fully immersed in what truly feels like stepping into a video game. And if you're coming for the actual games, the museum also includes a virtual shooting range, multiplayer VR games, and a kid-friendly play area with an interactive ball pit.
5. Wow Park
Combining education with state-of-the-art AV technology, Wow Park is perfect for curious minds of all ages. There are over 40 hands-on exhibits encouraging visitors to explore scientific concepts through interactive activities. You can see how a thermal camera works, stand in a simulated tornado, or walk through projection-mapped environments that react to motion and sound.
The Wow Science Show is a standout feature, using AV effects to illustrate topics like chemical reactions, extreme weather, and freezing temperatures. The show’s immersive elements ensure that even complex concepts are presented in an engaging and easy-to-follow way. For families or large groups, the museum offers personalized tours tailored to specific age ranges, making it an accommodating experience for anyone.
