Our new spotlight series on AVIXA's Xchange showcases some of our community's most active members.

Next up on the list is @Mohannad Mousa, CTS who has some exciting news – he recently started a new job as a Project Manager at @Maktabi Tech! Throughout Mohannad’s career, he has had the opportunity to work on numerous amazing projects with high-profile clients. His tenure at Maktabi Tech commenced with the management of prestigious clients, including TONOMUS – NEOM and the Public Investment Fund, overseeing their ongoing AV projects. Expressing his admiration for the company, Mohannad remarked, “What I appreciate most about Maktabi Tech is the company's commitment to innovation and the fostering of a collaborative and creative work environment. I find it incredibly motivating to work with a team that constantly seeks out new solutions in the AV industry.”

Before his role at Maktabi Tech, he worked as a Projects Engineer at Techno Q, where he was even involved in the FIFA World Cup '22 and Formula 1 Qatar '23.

“One of the defining moments in my career and journey was my involvement in the Formula 1 Qatar project,” said Mohannad. “This experience was particularly vital because it involved completing a challenging, time-sensitive project. It was successfully executed by our team, and we did the installation and commissioning of the systems within a remarkably short time frame of just ten months, demonstrating our team’s exceptional ability to deliver high-quality results efficiently and effectively.”

Late last year, Techno Q showcased its prowess through an extraordinary installation project for Qatar's global Formula 1 Grand Prix event. Designed with precision, the 16 screens, each measuring an impressive 13×3.5 meters, featured a transparent pixel pitch of 3.47mm. Complementing this was an additional 4,968 square meters of cutting-edge 71mm mesh LED Display seamlessly blended with the venue’s architecture, establishing a new standard in LED technology for Formula 1 events. They also opted for eco-friendly AV screens.

“During my work there in Qatar for Techno Q, I held up the chain of projects engineer for almost four years and in this role, I gained invaluable experience in the AV field. Project management in AV is a dynamic field that requires a combination of technical knowledge and strong organizational skills. Successful project management in AV also involves team collaboration and problem-solving. Without teamwork, it will not work,” expressed Mohannad.

With more than eight years of experience in the ELV and AV field, Mohannad often talks about project management and offers tips on his page in Xchange. In one of his articles, he discusses certifications and how they can stand as the key to unlocking unparalleled professional growth. He holds various certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) from AVIXA, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco, Gallagher Certified Engineer, Milestone Certified Integration Technician (MCIT) from Milestone, 4K Designer from Crestron, Extron AV Associate (EAVA) from Extron, and Public Address Systems from Bosch.
