For our June ‘25 Xchange Community Spotlight, we're featuring @Marc Rémond, Executive Partner at Strategic Pathways, who is based in Singapore.

His entry into the AV industry began through foundational roles in data, voice, and video communications. Over time, these evolved into leadership positions at Pro AV innovators as his passion for the industry grew.

“The opportunity to transform how people engage, communicate, and collaborate through cutting-edge AV technologies solidified my passion for this field,” he expressed.

A defining achievement in his career was his tenure as President, Asia Pacific at Kramer Electronics, where he reshaped the organizational structure, fostered collaboration, and launched the company’s first APAC channel program.

In his current role as an Executive Partner at Strategic Pathways, he helps global tech companies unlock Asia Pacific’s potential by building localized go-to-market (GTM) strategies, developing value propositions that resonate with key decision-makers, and training sales teams to engage channels and customers effectively.

“My responsibilities consistently focus on GTM expansion, channel partner success, and customer engagement across vertical markets,” he said.

He believes the Asia-Pacific AV industry is undergoing a remarkable, transformative surge but notes that global firms often face challenges in APAC because of misaligned strategies.

“The APAC AV industry is dynamic and diverse, fueled by rapid technological adoption across enterprise, government, education, and healthcare sectors,” he explained. “Key trends include the shift from traditional AV systems to IT-centric solutions. However, global playbooks often fail here—85% of global firms struggle in APAC due to misaligned strategies. Success demands localization to address cultural, regulatory, and commercial nuances. For example, Singapore leads as an innovation hub, while markets like Japan and China prioritize scalability and IT integration. Partnering with experts who understand these complexities is critical to bridging cross-cultural collaboration and unlocking growth.”

He also states that while IT-AV convergence, cloud platforms, and AI-driven analytics tend to dominate trends, the focus must shift from hardware to insight-driven, outcome-based solutions.

“AV professionals must act as trusted advisors, not just vendors. This requires vertical-specific solutions, ecosystem partnerships like integrations with Zoom or Microsoft Teams, and localized GTM strategies,” he said.

As a thought leader and Xchange advocate, he writes articles about marketing strategies, sustainability, and more on Xchange, offering a unique lens into the Asia-Pacific market. You can find all of his articles on his Xchange profile.

When asked about Xchange, he remarked that his favorite aspect of the platform is its role as a global catalyst for collaboration.

“Having driven cross-cultural innovation in APAC, I value how Xchange unites professionals to share insights, tackle challenges, and explore trends like AV-over-IP, AI-driven analytics, and hybrid-work technologies,” said Marc about Xchange. “By providing access to cutting-edge resources and peer expertise, Xchange accelerates the strategic innovation I champion, making it indispensable for advancing the AV industry globally.”

Although Marc won’t be able to attend InfoComm in Orlando this year, he’s excited to share that he has recently become an affiliated partner of NEXXT. And at InfoComm 2025, NEXXT will be hosting the AI in AV Executive Leadership Summit on Tuesday, June 10, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. NEXXT—a collective founded by industry veteran Byron Tarry—is dedicated to helping professionals navigate the complexities of applied AI and digital transformation.
