Kiss Bids Farewell to Live Tours, Pioneers Virtual Realm as First US Band to Transform into Digital Avatars. Following their last live performance in New York, the legendary US rock band Kiss is set to endure as superhero-inspired digital avatars.

George Lucas' special-effects powerhouse, Industrial Light & Magic, teamed up with Pophouse Entertainment Group—co-founded by ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus—to create these avatars that are causing quite a stir in the entertainment scene. Recently showcased in the "ABBA Voyage" show in London, fans got to enjoy a full concert experience delivered by the digital avatars of the iconic Swedish band.

According to Per Sundin, CEO of Pophouse Entertainment, this game-changing technology ensures that Kiss can carry on their legacy for "eternity." The deliberate absence of the band from the physical stage during the virtual performance highlights the futuristic nature of the technology. Sundin envisions a future where Kiss could pull off concerts in multiple cities across different continents in a single night—unleashing the full potential of this innovative approach.

To bring their digital avatars to life, Kiss donned motion capture suits, resulting in a superheroic representation of the band. This transformative technology not only offers a unique and futuristic concert experience but also opens the door to unprecedented possibilities for global, multi-location performances. It seems the legacy of Kiss is poised to break traditional boundaries through the lens of this pioneering avatar technology.
