Answers:

1. (B) 1964: Sony debuted the first-ever VCR intended for home use in 1964.

•The first magnetic tape video recorder was created in 1956 by Ampex  (and cost $50,000!).

•In 1976, the VHS cassette was introduced in Japan (and the US one year later).

2. (A) Pink Floyd: It was May 12, 1967 when Pink Floyd wowed concert goers with the first-ever concert in surround sound.

•The Monkees were the first band to popularize the use of the synthesizer (The Moog) on their 1967 album, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.

•The Who became the first band to use lasers at their concerts.

3.(B) 1946: NAVED held its first convention during this year in Chicago.

•NAVED was created in 1939 by a group of eight AV dealers.

•In 1949, NAVED merged with the Allied Non-Theatrical Film Association to form the National Audio-Visual Association (NAVA).
