What happens when a TV show decides to sound like a live concert?

Audio engineer Scott Steiner took on the challenge with The Runarounds — an Amazon Prime series where every performance was recorded live on set. No overdubs. No lip-sync. Just pure, raw energy.
With Yamaha DHR Series loudspeakers and the DM7 Digital mixing console, Scott built a powerful yet portable setup that turned chaotic sets into concert-ready soundscapes. Tight time windows? Constant resets? Steadicams whizzing by? The system never blinked — even when powered by coffee and adrenaline.

“We weren’t just shooting a show. We were staging a live concert again and again,” says Steiner.
