AVIXA Standards and the Standards Steering Committee are assembling a volunteer task group to revise AVIXA RP-C303.01:2018, Recommended Practices for Security in Networked Audiovisual Systems, ensuring it reflects today’s best practices and tomorrow’s challenges.

About the Standard: 
This recommended practice addresses network security and/or AV systems configuration, to prevent unauthorized access, misuse or modification of network-accessible resources as designed for an audiovisual system.  The guide incorporates current accepted standards, policies, and protocols utilized in the Information Technology industry.

What You’ll Do:
Discuss and draft changes to the current standard
Share insights from your professional experience
Collaborate with peers in virtual meetings
Address questions and feedback through technical and public review

Time Commitment:
Approximately 2+ hours per month (meetings + review work)
Project expected to run for 12 months
All work is done remotely
