AVIXA Standards and the Standards Steering Committee are assembling a volunteer task group to develop Accessibility for Audiovisual Systems in Teaching/Presentation Spaces, to provide guidance to the AV industry on this important topic.

About the Standard: 
This Recommended Practice will define requirements for audiovisual system related aspects which optimize the accessible operation and user experience. The document will provide a framework of review criteria, key steps/actions, and define planning/design team actions for accessible design for integrating audiovisual systems.

What You’ll Do:
Discuss and draft content for the document
Share insights from your professional experience
Collaborate with peers in virtual meetings
Address questions and feedback through technical and public review

Time Commitment:
Approximately 2+ hours per month (meetings + review work)
Project expected to run for 12 months
All work is done remotely
