Plainview, NY – May 16, 2025 – Broadfield Distributing Inc., a leading value-added distributor of professional video, audio, and broadcast technology, is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of the Broadcast Alliance for Senior High (BASH) Awards founded by the Southold School District in 2017. This partnership, facilitated through the company’s Broadfield Cares initiative, underscores Broadfield’s commitment to supporting the local community and recognizing excellence in student broadcast journalism and video production. The BASH Awards, organized by the Broadcast Alliance for Senior High showcases the talent in the growing broadcasting and film classes across Long Island. The event, hosted at Hofstra University, looks to bring together the teachers, administrators, and (most importantly) the students that make up the next generation of media creators.

Through the Broadfield Cares initiative, Broadfield Distributing Inc. is dedicated to giving back to its local community on Long Island. Sponsoring the BASH Awards aligns perfectly with this mission, as it supports efforts to encourage the next generation to pursue skills and careers in broadcast journalism and video production. Broadfield will be loaning BASH a Vizrt TriCaster Mini live production system along with other equipment needed to broadcast and livestream the event along with other support.

“We are honored to support the BASH Awards,” said Rich Bettan, Chief Revenue Officer at Broadfield Distributing Inc. “I am always impressed by the attitude, ambition, and skills of the students from all across Long Island and I look forward to seeing them nurture those interests and pursue exciting careers in Broadcast.”

Stu Stein, VP of the Broadcast Alliance for Senior High spearheaded the launch of Bellmore Merrick’s nationally recognized broadcasting magnet program said “We are overjoyed to know that we can continue to count on Broadfield Distributing Inc. for their support and for help throughout the years getting the best equipment available for students all across Long Island.”.
