Helping lead the charge of AVIXA's research efforts into the trends and opportunities in the pro AV industry. When not digging into data, speaking and writing about the trends, or discussing where to focus our research efforts next, I enjoy spending time outdoors on walks, hikes or fishing adventures. Though I also have a soft spot for consuming AV content in my DIY home theater, thanks to a love for good audio I get honest from my Dad!

16-year-old blog & podcast about digital signage. Now owned by @spectrio but still written, edited and BS filtered by founder Dave Haynes.

AVNation™ started in 2011 as a small community of friends having fun and wanting to share their knowledge and experiences working with audio visual technology and the av industry in general. Since our first show AVWeek™ we’ve grown considerably over the years, we’re still a community where everyone is welcome to share ideas, make new friends, and celebrate the AV industry. Most importantly, we’re still having fun.

Tim Albright created AVNation for the purpose of bringing high-quality broadcasts (or netcasts) to the AV community. Tim has envisioned building a network of industry professionals who are passionately engaged in furthering the AV industry through education and knowledge. One of the premiere functions of AVNation is to see industry professional provide first-hand knowledge to other professionals across North America and the World. Many of the hosts and people involved with AVNation are industry leaders in various ways.

The first AVNation podcast was the initial episode of AVWeek – “The Pilot,” recorded July 29th, 2011. Ever since that first recording, AVNation has continued to grow its show offerings encompassing all aspects of the AV industry through weekly AVWeek episodes, as well as many additional periodic shows. We continue to have a wide variety of guests including industry professionals who work in or own integration firms and corporate industry leaders.

LANG AG is one of Europe’s leading wholesalers – for hire and for sale – of visual presentation technology. The company founded in 1978 established itself in the market with slide shows and made a name through creative developments. Continuously, we pick promising innovations and support and promote them up to their successful use.

In early 2017, LANG AG established two independent companies in Switzerland and Great Britain as well as Spain mid of 2019. LANG BARANDAY AG in Zurich, LANG UK in London and LANG IBERIA in Barcelona serve the European market together with LANG AG.

While strictly abiding by a policy of confidentiality, our company remains invisible to your customers. Our range of products comprises an ample supply of state-of-the-art technology of the highest quality.

The continuous growth – we employ meanwhile roughly 220 employees – proves our concept to be right. Interest and enthusiasm in avant-garde technologies, the willingness to invest into long term partnerships and the strong demand into the own ability to innovate are already existing visions of LANG AG, which we would like to project into our future.

What Is the AV Industry?

AV is the intersection of content, technology, and space. The AV industry is the community of manufacturers and myriad professionals that provide the tools and expertise necessary to convey ideas and enhance communication in virtually every human arena. Audiovisual systems and technologies are the building blocks that create memorable experiences and connect us to our world in every way imaginable. It’s the tremendous sound you hear at a concert, the amazing digital displays you see at a museum, the video conferencing system you use at your office, the projected images you see at your corporate gatherings, the cool stuff in the huddle space that connects your devices to the big display, the technical wizardry that’s used in theme parks to amaze and delight you. That is all part of the AV industry. Are you getting the picture?

We’re Part Association, Part Society

We’re part association, part society; a mix of professionals from all over the globe who create those cool experiences you have in meetings, classes, and events in offices, airports, museums, sports arenas, theatres, concerts…
