The Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance, Inc. (HETMA) is a registered 5013(c)3 advocacy organization focused on the higher education AV industry. The goal of HETMA is to raise awareness of technology issues unique to the higher education community by communicating with manufacturers, vendors, and higher education administrators on the needs and challenges that technology managers face. HETMA is also dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities to our members so that we can empower and grow our influence as an industry. Our belief is that all resources provided through HETMA should always be FREE to the higher ed community. We are by us and for us, and hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity. OUR PURPOSE 1. ADVOCACY: HETMA seeks to advocate for the needs of the Higher Ed vertical within the greater AV industry by investing in our institutional and manufacturer relationships through programs like “HETMA Approved Program.” 2. EVENTS: “We were virtual before it was cool” is our tagline. We recognize the importance of information sharing as an essential element to higher ed. 3. As Manager, Italy & Member Services EMEA at AVIXA I lead the EMEA Member Services Team, collaborating with AVIXA's Global Member Services Team. My regions of responsibility are Italy, Benelux & Nordics, Iberia, France and Malta, and together with my Team I give support to AVIXA’s initiatives, courses and events throughout the EMEA region. Neil Collins is an award winning marketer with over fifteen years of international business experience. Neil lives in Sydney, Australia, but was born and raised in the North West of England.​ His accent sounds exactly how you'd imagine it to.   Neil is the Director of Marketing and Growth at Innomate/UXT, where he established the business’ brand identity and go to market strategy, while also implementing a highly efficient continuous content distribution process, all managed in-house. Neil is also heavily involved with new market entry and international business growth, with Innomate recently welcoming their first US and UK based customers onboard.   Neil has held a number of leadership roles within businesses including Vodafone, Fox Sports, and Westpac Group, where he was Head of Group Social, Marketing and Brand, a role he describes as a digital-geek's dream, as he got to develop a world-class communications ecosystem, and enhance the group-wide digital and social experience. Neil has lived and worked in three countries, and is an ex professional rally driver, driving for Ford Racing, where he was the youngest ever Formula 2 Rally Champion in the UK.
