Andy was a deeply committed tech-head who had played with a broad range of AV technologies since well before there was something called AV.  He hungered to know how and why things work, and stumbled on the fact that he had a talent for explaining what he'd learned, so he taught and wrote about all kinds of technologies, in books, magazines, manuals, seminars, and online.  He worked in AV, broadcast, live production, IT, publishing, consulting, and events. In the early 2020s he wrote the new editions of the CTS, CTS-I, and CTS-D Exam Guides. The most fun part of what he did was the research into developing technologies to see how they could fit into the future of AV and IT. As a VTC Hub Technician at Apex Systems, I support United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) with audio-visual and video teleconferencing systems. I have an active Top Secret Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) clearance and a CompTIA Security+ certification, which demonstrate my ability to handle sensitive information and protect network security. I am also a Front-End Developer at EP Marketing Source, where I create and maintain websites using Webflow, a no-code web design platform. I have a Webflow Layout Certification, Level 2, and an Inbound Marketing certification from HubSpot Academy, which show my proficiency in web design and digital marketing. I have over two years of web development experience, including seven months at Heirloom Cloud Corporation, where I developed quality products with no existing baseline to meet emerging requirements. A CTS with more than 20 years in Pro AV.With credentials including ISO 27001 Practitioner, CompTIA Security+, AVIXA CTS, and service as a member of the AVIXA Standards Steering Committee, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective that spans security governance, systems engineering, AV risk, and operational resilience. I understand AI as a socio‑technical system, where risks extend across architecture, data flows, user behaviour, and integrated AV/UC environments.  i've led the design and optimisation of secure collaboration environments — from Microsoft Teams to enterprise meeting rooms and hybrid working platforms — supporting high‑stakes spaces such as Board meetings, AGMs, and multi‑site collaboration. I am now expanding my leadership into AI governance and responsible technology, developing capability in ISO/IEC 42001 (AIMS) and the NIST AI RMF to help organisations operationalise AI safely, ethically, and at scale

I have been in the AV industry since 2018, although I have been related to Audio visuals for a long time, as a hobby, something that I have been passionate about since I discovered AV's, initially in the area of Audio and now in the area of video, and LED screen.

I'm very passionate about the AV and IT fields. I love DJing as well. I'm hard working, dependable and a great team player.

Helping lead the charge of AVIXA's research efforts into the trends and opportunities in the pro AV industry. When not digging into data, speaking and writing about the trends, or discussing where to focus our research efforts next, I enjoy spending time outdoors on walks, hikes or fishing adventures. Though I also have a soft spot for consuming AV content in my DIY home theater, thanks to a love for good audio I get honest from my Dad!
