AVIXA TV’s Tech Support is held regularly at bothInfoComm and ISE, featuring SMEs from our dynamic #proAV our partners. For me, the highlight of the show floor has always been the AVIXA TV studio. Their team is a well-oiled machine, churning out content all week while showcasing how #proAV drives digital media. All in all, being able to host my first podcast on AVIXA TV with the Barco team, surrounded by their top-of-the-line displays, was an awesome experience!  

I was able to sit down with my new friend Dack Patrick, Director of Sales Engineering from Barco, to explore the intricate world of display technologies, and how Barco has stood the test the time for decades. Encountering real-world applications first-hand is what sets the most successful #proAV brands apart from the competition, and Barco is no exception. 

Dack and I discussed how Barco’s history drives this innovation, from the company’s roots from digital cinema projectors, to their iconic ClickShare and Infinipix technologies, to even their smart monitoring systems (which after this conversation, deserve much more love in my opinion!) We were able bond over being IT/AV guys throughout our careers, as the recurring theme of our conversation revolved around reliability as a necessity, especially when engaging with stakeholders in the nonprofit, public, and financial sectors.
