KIA Center AV Upgrades in Orlando

First it was digital signage and displays RFP. Give us latest and greatest! Now they are piling on with complete sound systems update

We don't normally get involved with "sound equipment" though we do have special talents in that area. Normally we think of drive thru speakers used by restaurants in the outdoor drive thru lanes. Very cheap and not disposed of/replaced enough in our opinion.

Last month the KIA Center released a huge RFP for displays

General Description - The Contractor shall provide a complete, workable, and
operational system including all labor, equipment, tools, material, engineering,
supervision, licenses, insurance, and permits to engineer, manufacture, and
install a fully integrated and operational LED Video Displays highlighted by the
following:
1. LED Displays
a. Center Hung Primary Display
b. Center Hung Underbelly Displays
c. Ribbon Displays
d. Vomitory Displays
e. Corner Displays

City of Orlando has just released the following opportunity:
Kia Center Bowl Sound System Upgrade

Here is a summary of the project:

The City of Orlando (City) requests Proposals from interested and qualified Proposers to provide turn-key Bowl Sound System Upgrade to the City for Kia Center located at 400 West Church Street, Orlando, Florida 32801.

Introduction - The Request for Proposal represents the minimum requirements to furnish a complete turn-key package as described in this RFP. The City has contracted with consultant Anthony James Partners (AJP) to provide input on this project including but not limited the scope of work, technical requirements, specifications, conceptual drawings, and bowl sound system market information.

General Description - The Contractor shall provide a complete, workable, and operational system including all labor, equipment, tools, material, engineering, supervision, licenses, insurance, and permits to engineer, manufacture, and install a fully integrated and operational Sound Reinforcement System within the main seating bowl of the arena highlighted by the following:
1. Arena Bowl Seating and Event Space Sound Reinforcement System
  1. Main Bowl Line Array Loudspeaker Systems
  2. Main Bowl Delay Ring / Fill Loudspeaker System
  3. Event Floor Fill Loudspeaker System
  4. Portable Event Floor Sound System
  5. Front of House Console
  6. Wireless Microphone System Upgrades
  7. Wireless IEM System Upgrades
  8. Dedicated Sound Network Upgrades
