Folks, recession risk is becoming serious. In China, the central bank is lowering interest rates despite inflation concerns to fend off recession. In Europe, the winter fuel demand surge could spur a recession if prices spike due to sanctions on and retaliations from Russia. In the U.S., Federal Reserve rate hikes to slow inflation create significant downturn risk. Recession is by no means a certainty--the odds are perhaps even in the U.S. case--but the risk is elevated. Businesses would do well to factor it into their plans.
