[Belleville, IL] — April 30, 2026 The Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA)—a professional training and certification organization for high-performance home theater acoustic design and calibration—announces HAA Link, a new calibration software designed to streamline the way home theater systems are tuned and create new acoustic calibration services for integrators.

Calibration, Without the Back and Forth

HAA Link dramatically simplifies home theater system audio calibration while still meeting the Home Acoustic Alliance’s rigorous standards (including CEDIA RP22 and RP32 requirements).

“Until now, calibration via a component’s onscreen display has been a nightmare for integrators,” says Gerry Lemay, founder of the Home Acoustics Alliance. “HAA Link makes it simple and furthers the Home Acoustics Alliance’s goal to formalize calibration as a repeatable, standards-based discipline.”

By combining measurement and control in a single environment, HAA Link reduces steps and eliminates the tedious workflow of switching between measurement tools and the processor’s onscreen menu.

Integrators can now evaluate and adjust system performance simultaneously using the free companion HAA CinemaTools with HAA Link app, available for iPad on the Apple App Store.

  • Real-time adjustment of key calibration settings that bypass the onscreen display
  • Real-time sound analysis alongside calibration controls
  • Reduces repeated measurement cycles and saves integrators time

Built for High-Performance Systems

Calibrating audio system components to the environment is key to performance in any home cinema. HAA Link builds upon the Home Acoustics Alliance’s exemplary reputation and legacy for knowledge and education in acoustics, making it easy for integrators to optimize audio and deliver the ultimate standards-based acoustic calibration for high-performance systems via:

  • Professional calibration techniques for precision speaker leveling and phase alignment
  • 14 precision parametric equalization filters per channel
  • An onboard suite of state-of-the-art test tones for every channel
  • Global EQ controls for optimized and speedy speaker alignment
  • Multiple HAA Mode presets that allow end users to experiment, but quickly switch back to calibrated modes
  • Multiple HAA Mode presets that let the calibrator customize for various scenarios (such as Movie mode, Music mode, Night mode, etc.)

Enabling Integrators to Offer Acoustic Calibration

HAA Link supports both experienced calibrators and beginners who want to standardize their calibration processes. Because it makes complex standards-based system calibration faster and more accessible, it is poised to create new opportunities for every integrator. Those who previously missed out on the acoustic and audio calibration business can now add this service with little complexity and high-performance results that delight customers.

HAA Link Availability

AudioControl’s Hyperion Series AV processor—available now—is the first component to be certified by the Home Acoustics Alliance through the integration of HAA Link software. Available as a pro feature upgrade, HAA Link unlocks advanced calibration tools and capabilities typically reserved for the most expensive components.

"We're excited to partner with Gerry Lemay and the Home Acoustics Alliance to bring HAA Link to the Hyperion Series," says Tom Devine, Vice President of Marketing at AudioControl. "Introducing new calibration technologies is always a win—for our partners and for the end users who get to enjoy the results."

HAA Link can be licensed by qualifying receiver and preamp/processor manufacturers to enable easy, professional audio calibration services that offer new profit centers for integrator partners and deliver more professionally installed systems, ultimately creating satisfied customers.

About Home Acoustics Alliance

Founded in 2001, the Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA) was established to address the need for advanced training in acoustics and audio calibration within the residential AV industry. Led by founder and director Gerry Lemay—a physicist, acoustician, and inventor who has designed hundreds of theaters and acoustical spaces—HAA has built a global reputation for its rigorous approach to system design and performance optimization.

Through hundreds of training sessions and thousands of students worldwide, HAA has developed a network of independent audio/video professionals focused on achieving high-performance home entertainment experiences. Its programs emphasize both technical precision and practical application, helping integrators deliver consistent, measurable results.

HAA’s mission is twofold: to advance the quality of home audio through professional calibration and to educate consumers on the value of properly designed and tuned systems. By promoting standards-based methodologies, HAA elevates calibration from a subjective practice to a disciplined, science-grounded, repeatable process.
