AVIXA’s committees have been a gamechanger in my formation as an AV Director at my firm. Iron truly sharpens iron, and being able to sit under the learning tree of industry veterans has been a great vantage point to traverse this ever-evolving industry.

Both guests shared various success stories and client testimonials that helped shape how they collaborate with the ITS.  David Lopez mentioned that his industry experience has garnered over 50,000 projects in 25 years, emphasizing the importance of being preemptive and providing support in various roles, from staff augmentation to project coordination. AI in Project Management

While AI has been the talk of the town in recent years, I would’ve been remised to not mention its impact on the #proAV world, particularly for the ITS. David and Drew discussed leveraging AI for peer review, identifying scope holes, and training new employees. The “both/and” of AI showcases two paths that oftentimes converge: a significant disruptor and a tool for improving efficiency. Drew discussed the influence of AI in project management, particularly in collecting feedback and documentation, while David dove into using AI for peer review, identifying scope holes and training new employees.  

Transparency and Accountability

Transparency and accountability are the foundation of successful project management, and that speaks volumes for the dynamic world of #proAV. Both guests highlighted the need for consistent, regular meetings, and being accountable for mistakes, as this lens is well-represented in their engagement with the ITS. At the end of the day, communication is king as technology grows with advancements in hybrid working, learning and collaboration.
