A question Commercial Integrator posed to their new 40 Influencers Under 40 (congrats to the winners!) was how to retain young talent. This is an area where AVIXA has data! This year, we added a question about top job priorities to our annual compensation study. With almost 5000 respondents from around the world, this is a very rich resource! The full findings are available in our Channel Employment Report. We can't spoil that all here, but one of the top findings was the importance of growth opportunities. They aren't as impactful as base pay--base pay is the foundation--but they matter. Young workers in particular will trade a little base pay for growth and more future pay.
