I have 20+ years experience serving AVIXA's members in various parts of the world mostly focused within the Asia-Pacific region. In my current position I'm responsible for AVIXA's Growth and Industry Support in the region and leading a dedicated team of people that share that goal. In my role with AVIXA standards and content teams I provide technical advisement and strategic leadership. This primarily includes standards publications and the Exam Guide books. My interests span the broad spectrum of AV/IT technologies and systems our industry provides.  Prior to taking a staff role with AVIXA I worked supporting AV/IT solutions for both public and private education as a "Technology Manager" (roles including repair, installation, design and project management) as well as a longtime volunteer for AVIXA education and standards programs.

In his free time, Joe enjoys cruising the lake on his boat with family and friends, golfing PGA West, and perfecting his Traeger meat-smoking techniques. A dynamic presenter, award-winning author and recognized industry personality, Joseph Cornwall has held management and technical positions in broadcast, residential and commercial AV markets for well over 30 years.  He’s been awarded InfoComm Educator of the Year, is an AVIXA faculty member and was inducted into the System Contractor News Hall of Fame for his achievements in pro AV. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he holds CTS-D, CTS-I, ISF-C, and FOI industry certifications. Joe identifies himself as an AV Technology Evangelist at Large and is retired from the daily grind.
