Provide effective and well-functioning Audio Services including music programs and speech reinforcement to resort guests, by installing, operating and removing audio equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assigned as Lead Audio Engineer on the most high profile and complex events throughout the year, to run live audio for speech and music, as well as send feeds for recording purposes
Provide Mix-minus audio and telephone hybrid interface functions for events that require audio over phone lines
Read and understand professional riders from entertainers. Create appropriate pick lists to provide proper services for these riders. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to artist representative for pre-planning of event and offer substitutions where appropriate
Plan, stage, install, test and operate sound gear for bands playing to large functions. Properly mix band sound for both live audio and recording
Stay current with audio industry trends, recommend equipment for ongoing success
When assigned, install, remove all categories of audio/visual equipment to include Audio, Lighting, Video/projection, Office Equipment including internet connectivity
When assigned, operate audio/visual equipment during functions.
Troubleshoot issues during installation and operation.
Maintain equipment through proper storage and routine cleaning.
Ensure that all equipment and all support supplies are properly stored after each event.
Assist with monthly inventory when assigned.
Keep department vehicles clean and orderly.
Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Absolutely Required Skills:
Minimum 1 year of live sound production experience.
Expert knowledge of analog and digital audio consoles, such as Midas M32, Presonus 32-16, Yamaha M7, as well as wired/wireless Clearcom systems.
Ability to update firmware of digital consoles and any audio software upgrades.
Expert knowledge of Shure (Axient preferred) wireless microphone systems: microphone type differences, receivers, transmitters, Shure Wireless Workbench frequency software skills.
Ability with mixing band sound for mains PA, monitor mixes, FOH mixes, recording sends.
Valid California driver’s license, with no more than 1 point on current DMV record. Ability to drive large vans and box trucks, operate lift gates.
Teamwork and excellent customer service in a high paced, strenuous environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
Must be able to lift and move objects safely.
Desired Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite skills, Garage Band, familiar with Mac and PC based laptops and desktops.
Some experience with an equipment discipline, such as stage lighting skills, production video switching, LED wall, IT experience.
Minimum 1 year AV production experience preferred.
