AVIXA’s Xchange community gives all of us in the #proAV world a level playing field. There is a fine line between existing and thriving, and being invited alongside some of the top talent in the industry was incredibly humbling. The panel was hosted by the legendary @Sanj Surati (Tiger Heart), and included me (representing ISDA), @Virginia Molina (Proyecciones Digitales), @Kristin Bidwell (AVCT), and @Paul Konikowski, CTS-D, CISSP  (Cronos Consulting).

Virginia and I were interviewed by the AVIXA team to discuss our takeaways from the panel. Virginia covered how AVIXA Xchange is founded on developing our common interests in the #proAV world. It’s also a great means of expanding our company presence to key industry stakeholders. At the end of the day, shared knowledge is the foundation of any trade association, and being involved with AVIXA Xchange has been a conduit for sharing our diverse experiences and building new industry connections. 

My biggest reflection after the panel was that a growth mindset is the bedrock of building a long-lasting career in #proAV. I’ve always loved how the industry doesn’t gatekeep, as AV professionals from all walks of life, from integrators, consultants to tech managers, are passionate about helping the industry continue to grow. Diversity is something I am incredibly passionate about as well, and being able to share the stage with leaders from different disciplines was a real blessing.

It's always been a career goal of mine to speak at a panel during InfoComm. Thank you again to Lisa Matthews and the AVIXA team for making this a tremendous highlight of my summer!
