Projection, Lights & Staging News (PLSN) highlights Madison College's recently launched certificate program. Rebuilt by @Kristi Ross-Clausen, the Stage and Entertainment Technology (SET) Program's director, the curriculum focuses on stagehand work and the technical aspects of stagecraft. Unlike many programs that are centered around teaching design, the SET program focuses on teaching the skills to make those designs happen.

Learn about the program, its director, scholarship opportunities and outcomes on page 47 in the March edition of PLSN.

As a proud member of IATSE 417, there's nothing better than seeing students getting their (digital) hands dirty to be ready to work in the production business!!  This type of program is a great add on for people wanting a solid entry into stagehand work.   You have to have a foundation in technology to work in live events on any level - what a great way to start.

Most excited to see the fruits of this labor @Kristi Ross-Clausen. Working with Madison through AVIXA's Foundation to offer students AV essentials and events set up skills is most fulfilling. Remember educators, admins and tech folks, all students are welcome to apply for AVIXA's scholarships too.
