Our small family-owned audiovisual system integration firm is looking for an as needed AutoCAD technician.  This is a remote position for contract work on a job-to-job basis.  No guarantee of work is provided. The ideal candidate would be a full-time audiovisual design engineer/CAD operator with 5+ years’ experience in AutoCAD system design that is looking to supplement their income in their spare time. CTS-D certification would be a plus.  The candidate should be able to take fundamental one line concept drawings and create detailed AV system shop drawings.  The candidate should be capable of reading and understanding architectural and construction drawings, along with the ability to modify or add layers to architectural sets. 

Requirements:

• AutoCAD software proficiency. Must have their own workstation with software and AV block libraries.
• The ability to provide EASE analysis of proposed spaces would be nice but not required.
• Good working knowledge of major AV suppliers and manufacturing products. (Crestron, BiAmp, Q-Sys, Extron, etc.)
