As promised a couple of weeks ago, the 2nd quarter results of our MOAR quarterly demand research study are now available and the trends continue to be positive. Both the percentage of end-users who are planning capital improvements and who are indicating increases in budgets rose for the 4th straight quarter. Nearly two-thirds of respondents now indicate that their current improvement budgets exceed spending amounts from one year ago. The retail market, in particular, had the highest percentage of buyers noting increases, with over 70%. All of this translates into downstream investments in AV, which respondents currently indicate is approximately 30% of budgets, highlighting a focus on technology in current plans. Access to the study results, served through a dashboard and quarterly summary, are by subscription. Click here for more information -- MOAR Quarterly Study. One call out -- the study now includes buyer surveys from France, Italy, and Spain as well.

Sr. Director, Market Intelligence, AVIXA
Helping lead the charge of AVIXA's research efforts into the trends and opportunities in the pro AV industry. When not digging into data, speaking and writing about the trends, or discussing where to focus our research efforts next, I enjoy spending time outdoors on walks, hikes or fishing adventures. Though I also have a soft spot for consuming AV content in my DIY home theater, thanks to a love for good audio I get honest from my Dad!
