ISE is the world’s largest AV and systems integration show, making deeper connections with the newest technologies, latest ideas – and the global AV industry.
In June 2021, ISE moved to the Fira de Barcelona. This modern, highly appointed venue provides ample space for the show floor to expand to meet exhibitor demand. But more than this, it gives us new opportunities to make ISE an even fuller, more engaging experience.
Always owned by not-for-profit trade associations, ISE has been a joint venture between AVIXA and the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) since 2007. As well as ensuring that all proceeds from ISE are re-invested into the industry, these associations also act as the cornerstone of the event’s extensive education programme, which continues to grow year-on-year.
The show attracts professionals from every link in the AV and systems integration value chain, including manufacturers, distributors, dealers, contractors and consultants. Beyond this, the event also acts as a magnet for thousands of technology managers and other end-users from fields such as education, financial services, transportation, visitor attractions, sports arenas, auditoria, retail, and hotels. And, as AV systems become a more integral part of modern buildings, our audience is expanding to include more and more architects, interior designers, property developers and project managers.
AVNation™ started in 2011 as a small community of friends having fun and wanting to share their knowledge and experiences working with audio visual technology and the av industry in general. Since our first show AVWeek™ we’ve grown considerably over the years, we’re still a community where everyone is welcome to share ideas, make new friends, and celebrate the AV industry. Most importantly, we’re still having fun.
Tim Albright created AVNation for the purpose of bringing high-quality broadcasts (or netcasts) to the AV community. Tim has envisioned building a network of industry professionals who are passionately engaged in furthering the AV industry through education and knowledge. One of the premiere functions of AVNation is to see industry professional provide first-hand knowledge to other professionals across North America and the World. Many of the hosts and people involved with AVNation are industry leaders in various ways.
The first AVNation podcast was the initial episode of AVWeek – “The Pilot,” recorded July 29th, 2011. Ever since that first recording, AVNation has continued to grow its show offerings encompassing all aspects of the AV industry through weekly AVWeek episodes, as well as many additional periodic shows. We continue to have a wide variety of guests including industry professionals who work in or own integration firms and corporate industry leaders.
I manage an association comprised of digital kiosks manufacturers, digital signage software and hardware, digital credentialing and more. Members include LG, Intel, Panasonic, Samsung, Peerless-AV, Nanonation, Olea Kiosks, Kiosk Information Systems, 22 Miles and many more. We cover multiple industry segments including kiosks, digital signage, menu boards, thin client, automated retail, EMV Point-Of-Sale, EV Charging and more. In my role as Executive Director for the Kiosk Association, I work with the U.S. Access Board (we meet once a year in DC), Canada ADA agencies and the PCI SSC regulatory organization.
My customers over the years which I was primary dev support for include Verizon Wireless and their bill pay kiosks (around 5000), AT&T bill pay systems and Comcast self-pay stations. I helped develop the MPOG large screen multi-player simulation hubs for the Army Recreational program (ARMP).
