After joining PLANT in 2014, Shawn earned his CTS in April of 2016.  Shawn's professional experience includes project management, project design and drawings, site investigation, code review, specifications, and contract administration. He has worked on various facility types including industrial, government/municipal, healthcare, educational, commercial/office, assisted living, and religious. His electrical engineering experience includes audio-visual systems, telecommunications distribution (IT), nurse call, fire alarm systems, interior and exterior illumination and controls systems, interior and exterior emergency illumination systems, low and medium voltage power distribution systems, arc flash hazard analysis and selective coordination studies, diesel fueled emergency power systems, commercial kitchen fire detection and protection systems.  Shawn has served as project manager for several multi-discipline projects in server room, hospital, industrial, defense, government, and post-secondary education facilities.  In April 2025, Shawn and his company chose to let the CTS certification expire so that the efforts needed to obtain continuing education could be applied to other initiatives.  PLANT continues to have experience in the AV integration space, ready to help you with high-fidelity solutions to your technically challenging facility problems!
