April marked the 8th straight month that the rest of the world has exceeded North America in our regional breakdown of the AVI-S.1 The initial read shows North America at 60.3 and the Rest of the World at 64.7.

Each month AVIXA sends out a monthly survey to service providers who are “moderately” to “extremely” familiar with their company’s business conditions to collect data on the past month's business conditions within their company. The AV Sales and AV Employment Indexes are computed as diffusion indexes. The monthly score is calculated as the percentage of firms reporting a significant increase plus half the percentage of firms reporting no change.  February's Sales index hist a low at 53.4 while the employment index sits at 53.8.
