My new book, EVOLVE-OR-DIE.AI: Leading the Era of Human and AI Intelligence, publishes on Friday 31 July. I am marking it with a live session the same day, and I would like this community in the room.

Why it matters to you

This industry has already lived through the argument the book makes. We watched the codec become software. We watched the room system become a service. We watched video conferencing move to the cloud and take an entire hardware category with it. In every one of those transitions, companies that owned their categories outright, with strong installed bases and capable engineering, found themselves reduced or absorbed. Not because they failed to understand the technology. They employed the people who understood it best. They failed because their operating model would not let them act on what they already knew, at the speed the transition demanded.

AI is the next one, and it is arriving faster than any of the previous three.

Adoption produces no separation. Twenty chapters, built on twenty-five years in enterprise technology across Asia Pacific, in senior roles at Alcatel-Lucent, Polycom, Nuage Solutions, Barco and others.

The core of it is the Leadership Intelligence Stack, six intelligences that now determine whether a leader shapes the transition or is shaped by it: Human, Artificial, Orchestration, Business, Portfolio, and Cultural Intelligence. The book builds each one in turn and shows how they connect. Underneath sits the operating model itself, the 4W Workplace Framework, covering Workforce, Workflow, Workspace, and WorkTech.

It is written as a diagnostic rather than a manifesto. There is no prediction about what AI will do to the industry. There is an architecture for deciding what to do about it.
