I have many friends who took a career break to raise their children and/or care for elderly parents. Many express concern about re-entering the workforce as far as their attractiveness as candidates or in meeting new demands in the skills and experience required to be seen as qualified. The idea of "returnships" as described in this recent article in Stylist is a brilliant idea to transition and gain experience and confidence.
I am delighted to be part of the HR Department at AVIXA and an Ambassador of the Jobs Room of the Xchange! I hope to bring my 25+ years of broad-based experience in Human Resources, both in consulting and in-house roles, to our Xchange members as a helpful resource and source of information and best practices.
