2024 Paris Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony
If you didn't get a chance to see the 2024 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony (or Ceremonies as some say) , you might want to try to find a friend or family member who DVR'd it. From Lady Gaga to Gojira to Celine Dion, it was absolutely spectacular. I've included some YouTube links in this post.
The ceremony followed the path of the Olympic Torch being carried throughout Paris, first being handed off to some youngsters after getting stuck on the subway, who carried it down into the catacombs, then handed it off to a shadowy figure in a boat. The story continued to Les Mis, then to the Louvre, where paintings went missing. The Olympians arrived by boats on the Siene River. There was a fashion show on one of the bridges, and let's not forget the threesome in the library. If all of this doesn't make any sense to you, it is likely because I am not retelling the scenes very well, I admit; but none of these parts were as good as the live musical performances, which were interlaced into the ceremony.

Celine Dion gave a COMMANDING performance from the Eiffel Tower to close the event. WOW!
